Children’s Allied Health
Constellation Therapies support children and their families with emotional, behavioural, developmental and communication needs.
Our services for children are evidence-based, relationship-focused and developmentally appropriate. Support is tailored to each child, with involvement from parents and caregivers as needed.
Sessions are available at our Gympie clinic, in schools or community settings where appropriate, and via telehealth.
Counselling
We provide counselling support for children who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social challenges.
Counselling sessions offer a safe and supportive space for children to explore their feelings, build coping skills and develop emotional resilience. Support is tailored to each child’s needs, with parent and caregiver involvement where appropriate.
Play-Based Therapy
We offer play-based therapy for children from 2 years of age.
Play therapy supports children to express themselves through play and creative activities when talking alone may be difficult. This evidence-based approach is commonly used to support children experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges and developmental differences.
Sessions are child-led and developmentally appropriate.
Speech Therapy
We provide speech therapy for children with speech, language and social communication difficulties.
Therapy is evidence-based and tailored to each child’s needs. We work collaboratively with families and, where appropriate, educators and other professionals to support progress across home and school environments.
Occupational Therapy
We offer occupational therapy to support children with participation in everyday activities.
Support may focus on motor coordination, sensory processing, emotional regulation and independence with daily routines. Therapy is practical, strengths-based and guided by each child’s goals and needs.
Sessions may be provided in the clinic, at school or in the community where appropriate.
Parenting Support
We offer parenting support and counselling for parents and caregivers.
Support may include guidance around behaviour, emotional development, family relationships and navigating challenges at different stages of childhood. Sessions are collaborative, respectful and tailored to each family’s circumstances.
Senior Clinician Oversight & Allied Health Assistants
All adult services are delivered under senior clinician oversight. Where appropriate, therapy programs may be supported by Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) working under delegation and supervision, supporting consistent, cost-effective and high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong clinical governance.
